CAL: How to crochet a dragon part 6 – arms

Today, I finally want to continue with our dragon-CAL. You can crochet the arms in three different ways – you either fasten them with safety joints, sew them onto the body or crochet them directly to the body. If you want to do the latter, please follow the pattern at the end of this post.

Arms to fasten with safety joints or to sew onto the body (2 x)

1. R: 6 sc into magic ring

2. R: 6 inc (12 sc)

3. – 5. R: 12 sc

Insert the part of the safety joint with the spike between rounds 3 and 4 (leave out if you don’t use safety joints)

6. – 20. R: 12 sc

21. R: 6 sc, 5 Popcorn-stitches with 4 hdc each

22. R: 6 dec

Cut yarn and sew up the end

Fasten the arms with the safety joints between rounds 8 and 9 of the body or sew them to it.

If you use safety eyes you will still have to leave the body open until you have done the legs.
