Free Crochet Pattern: Sally Bowles Doll

IMG_5205When I started my dancing lessons at the age of five, my teacher was just planning a performance she called „Once upon a time in Hollywood“. It was full of Cabaret, Cancan and Americans in Paris. It was back then when I first met Marilyn Monroe, Josephine Baker and Liza Minelli as Sally Bowles. Of course those were the roles for the teens and grown ups. I myself acted as a so called „Mini Girl“ dancing my very first Charleston. Well, from those days on, I did never again lose the interest in the age of the roaring twenties. Today I want to combine my new found love to the design of crochet dolls with one of my very first ones, the one for the „Cabaret“. So with the words of the Conferencier from the movie „Cabaret“ I say: „Meine Damen und Herren, Mesdames et Messieurs, Ladys und Gentleman! I give you that international sensation: Fräulein Sally Bowles!“:
