Spring is almost there and I cannot wait to see colors coming back to nature. So I designed my own colorful little herald of spring in form of this little butterfly. Of course, I share the pattern with you so we can crochet lots and lots of these colorful little animals together. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s\ngo:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You need:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

about half a skein of black, brown or grey yarn for the body of your\nbutterfly<\/p>\n\n\n\n

less than half a skein of yarn in three colors you like<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filling, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crochet hook, which is slightly too small for your yarn (I use 2,5 when 3,5\nis recommended),<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Needle, scissors and everything you need for crocheting comfortably <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    How to crochet the butterfly’s antennae<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. R: crochet 4 sc in a little square\n directly to the top of the head (4 sc)<\/li>

      Cut\nyarn and weave in the end. Then do the other antenna in the same way on the\nother side of the head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How to crochet the butterfly’s wings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      You\ncan either do the wings one time (for example if you plan to hang the butterfly\non a wall) or you do it twice and sew both pieces together so that they look\nthe same from either side. If you want to do it simple, you’ll have to do the\nupper part of the wings 2x and the bottom part also 2x. When you want to do it\ntwice. you’ll have to crochet the upper part 4 x and the bottom part also 4x.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Choose\nyour first color:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. R: 6 sc into magic ring<\/li>

                  Next\nyou sew the two bottom parts together, so that they touch at the side. Then you\nsew the two upper parts together in the same way. Finally sew the upper part to\nthe bottom part. If you did a second pair of wings, you should sew it onto the\nfirst pair of wings, now. In the end you sew the wings to the body of your  crocheted butterfly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
