Today, I want to share a pattern for a small baby rabbit, which is done very quickly. It makes a perfect keychain or charm, because it is so small. But of course you can also keep it as a small toy or even put it into the advent calendar of your kids. But let’s go!
You’ll need:
- About 1/4 of a skein of yarn in your main colour (I use brown)
- bits and pieces in a second colour for the inner part of the ear (I use pink) and black for the face
- crochet hook, which is too small for your yarn (I use 2.5 when 3.5 is recommended
- filling
- scissors and needle
Abbreviations:
- ch – chain
- sc – single crochet
- sl – slip stitch
- dec – decrease
- inc – increase

Cut yarn and sew up the end (as the arm is so tiny, you won’t have to stuff it.
Do the second arm in exactly the same way.
Now embroider the face using black yarn (as seen in the pictures).
Ready you are with your sweet baby-rabbit.
If you want to turn it into a keychain, just crochet a chain of 10 to the head (right behind the ears) and close it to a loop with 1 sl. Then sew up all ends.
P.S. I would be so happy, if you would share your giraffe pics with me. When posting them on social media you can tag @flausch_einhorn and I will find them 🙂 Looking forward to see you, there.
